“PINK” performed live by Dolly Parton at the star-studded “Kiss Breast Cancer Goodbye” Benefit held at the country music hall of fame
The inaugural Kiss Breast Cancer Goodbye benefit held at the Country Music Hally of Fame comes a year after Dolly Parton teamed up with Rita Wilson, Jordin Sparks, Sara Evans, and Monica for “Pink,” an inspiring ballad written by Victoria Shaw, Erin Kinsey and Jodi Marr, with a message of hope for people battling breast cancer. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the song goes to Susan G. Komen in support of the mission to save lives from this disease.
Someday pink will just be a color/ Not a ribbon to remember/A best friend or a mother.
“You don’t lose your faith because you lose your hair,” said Dolly as she ended the song.
The audience gave Parton a standing ovation.
